Solution
Additional modifications for hnRNA include capping and tailing. In the capping process, an unusual nucleotide, methyl guanosine triphosphate, is added to the 5’-end of the hnRNA. During tailing, 200-300 adenylate residues are attached at the 3’-end in a template-independent manner. This fully processed hnRNA, now referred to as mRNA, is then transported out of the nucleus for translation.
