Solution
C.P. of 10 note-books = Rs. 40
S.P. of 10 note-books @Rs. 4.75 per note-book
= 4.75 × 10 = Rs. 47.50
Gain = S.P. − C.P.
= Rs. 47.50 − Rs. 40 = Rs. 7.50
Gain%`="Gain"/"C.P."xx100`
`=7.50/40xx100=750/40%`
`=75/4%`
`=18 3/4%`
