Solution
The theory of evolution explains how living organisms change over many generations. It is mainly associated with Charles Darwin, who explained evolution through the process of natural selection.
According to this theory, individuals in a population show variations. Some variations help organisms survive and reproduce better in their environment. These useful traits may then be passed on to the next generation. Over a long period, such changes can lead to the development of new species.
Evidence for evolution comes from fossils, genetics, comparative anatomy, and the study of living organisms. In humans, fossils and DNA show that modern humans and other primates share common ancestors.
