Marks scored in revision 1 = 225

Marks scored in revision 2 = 265

Change in marks = 265 – 225 = 40

Percentage of increase = `"Change in marks"/"Original marks" xx 100`

= `40/500 xx 100`

= 8%

Percentage of increase in marks = 8%
