In what way is the Rutherford’s atomic model different from that of Thomson’s atomic model?

Solution
Thomson’s model of the atom proposed the resin pudding structure in which electrons are embedded like resins in a positively charged sphere of pudding or cake. Rutherford’s model could be compared with a solar system. According to his model, the positive charge is concentrated in a very small space in the center which was called the nucleus. Electrons revolve around the nucleus in well-defined orbits.
