In the following figure, chord MN and chord RS intersect at point D. If RD = 15, DS = 4, and MD = 8, find DN.

Given: RD = 15, DS = 4, MD = 8
Using the Intersecting Chords Theorem,
MD × DN = RD × DS
Substituting values,
8 × DN = 15 × 4
8 × DN = 60
Let’s solve for DN:
DN = `60/8`
DN = `15/2` ...[Divide by 4]
∴ DN = 7.5
