Explanation:

Since, EA || SR, ΔPEA ∼ ΔPSR.

So, `(PE)/(PS) = (PA)/(PR)`. 

Here, PA = 2 cm and PR = 2 + 1.5 = 3.5 cm.

Hence, `x/(x + 1.8) = 2/3.5 = 4/7`. 

Solve: 7x = 4(x + 1.8)

⇒ 7x = 4x + 7.2

⇒ x = 2.4 cm

Therefore, 5x = 5 × 2.4 = 12 cm.
