Solution

Given: In triangle ABC, ∠A = 30°, ∠B = 90°.

Step-wise calculation:

1. Sum of angles in a triangle:

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

∴ ∠C = 180° – 30° – 90° = 60°.

2. The largest angle is ∠B = 90°.

In any triangle the side opposite the greatest angle is the longest; in a right triangle this side opposite 90° is the hypotenuse.

The longest side of ΔABC is AC the hypotenuse.
