If the ratio between 8 and 11 is the same as the ratio of 2x – y to x + 2y, find the value of `(7x)/(9y)`.

Solution
`(2x - y)/(x + 2y) = 8/11`
22x – 11y = 8x + 16y
14x = 27y
Given,`x/y = 27/14`
∴ `(7x)/(9y) = (7 xx 27)/(9 xx 14) = 3/2`
