Since, centre is the mid-point of end points of the diameter.
∴ Centre = `((4 + 2)/2, (7 + y)/2)`
⇒ `(3, 5) = (3, (7 + y)/2)`
On comparing both sides, we get
`5 = (7 + y)/2`
⇒ 7 + y = 10
⇒ y = 3
