Given p + 2q = 18 ....(1)
pq = 40 ....(2)
`2/"p" + 1/"q" = ((2 xx "q") + (1 xx "p"))/"pq"`
= `(2"q" + "p")/"pq"`
= `18/40` ....[∵ from (1) and (2)]
`2/"p" + 1/"q" = 9/20`
