A = `[(1,2),(4,2)]`
⇒ 2A = `[(2,4),(8,4)]`
∴ |A| = `|(1,2),(4,2)|`
= 2 − 8
= −6 ....(1)
|2A| = `|(2,4),(8,4)|`
= 2 × 4 − 4 × 8
= 8 − 32
= −24 ...(2)
From equations (1) and (2),
|2A| = 4|A|
