Location The Western Coastal Lowland is located between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. The Eastern Coastal Lowland is located between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal.
Width It is a narrow lowland, averaging about 64 km in width. It is a broader lowland, with an average width of 80-100 km.
Rivers and Deltas Many small and quick-flowing rivers run off the plain, and they do not form large deltas. Large rivers like the Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna, and Cauvery run off this plain, forming extensive deltas.
