Sum

Solution

Mean  = `"Sum of observation"/"Total number of observation"`

Sum of observation = 1 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 97 = 119

Total number of observation = 7

Mean = `119/7`

= 17

Median = `(n + 1)/2`

= `(7 + 1)/2`

= `8/2`

= 4th term

Median = 4

Hence, Mean = 17 and Median = 4

Median describes the set of numbers better.
