Solution
\[\text { Surface area of the given cube = 96 } {cm}^2 \]
\[\text { Surface area of a cube = 6 }\times\text { (side })^2 \]
\[ \Rightarrow 6 \times\text { (side ) }^2 = 96\]
\[ \Rightarrow\text { (side ) }^2 =\frac{96}{6} = 16 \]
\[\text { i . e . , side of the cube }= \sqrt{16} = 4 cm\]
\[ \therefore\text { Volume of the cube = (side ) }^3 = (4 )^3 = 64 {cm}^3 \]
