Successive discounts = 80% and 80%
Let M.P. = ₹100
Then S.P. after two discounts
`=₹(100(100-80)xx(100-80))/(100xx100)`
`=(100xx20xx20)/(100xx100)=₹4`
∴ Total discount = ₹100 − 4 = ₹96
∴ Single discount = 96%
