Find the ratio of 50 paise to Rs 5.

Solution

Since Rs 1 = 100 paise,

Hence, Rs 5 = 5 × 100

= 500 paise

Hence, ratio of 50 paise to 500 paise

= 50:500

= `50/500`

= `1/10`

Hence the required ratio is 1:10
