Use the distance formula
`d = sqrt((x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2`
x2 – x1 = 6a – 2a
= 4a
y2 – y1 = 6a – 3a
= 3a
`d = sqrt[(4a)^2 + (3a)^2)`
= `sqrt(16a^2 + 9a^2)`
= `sqrt(25a^2)`
= 5|a|
Distance = 5|a| so if a ≥ 0 this is 5a.
