Find the capacity of water tank, in litres, whose dimensions are 4.2 m, 3 m and 1.8 m?

Solution
Dimension of the water tank are 4.2 m, 3 m and 1.8 m.
Capacity of water tank = Length × Breadth × Height
= 4.2 × 3 × 1.8
= 22.68 m3
∴ Capacity of the water tank in litres = 22.68 × 1000 = 22680 L ...[∵ 1 m3 = 1000 L]
