Question
Find the area of the circle if its circumfence is 88 cm.

Solution
Circumference = 88 cm
⇒ 2πr = 88
⇒ r = `(88 xx 7)/(2 xx 22)`
= 14 cm
Area of the circle = πr2
= `22/7 xx (14)^2`
= 616 cm2
