Given expression: x3 – 8y3 – 6x + 12y

⇒ [x3 – (8y)3] – 6(x – 2y)

⇒ [x3 – (2y)3] – 6(x – 2y)

We know that,

a3 – b3 = (a – b) (a2 + ab + b2)

Hence,

⇒ (x – 2y) (x2 + 2xy + 4y2) – 6(x – 2y)

⇒ (x – 2y) (x2 + 2xy + 4y2 – 6)
