4x – 3y = 8

Given: 4x – 3y = 8

4x = 8 + 3y   ...(Add 3y to both sides)

`x = (8 + 3y)/4`   ...(Divide both sides by 4)

`x = 2 + (3/4)y`   ...(Optional simplified form)

⇒ `x = (8 + 3y)/4`

= `2 + (3/4)y`
