We are given:

(x2 + x + 1) (x2 – x + 1)

We know the identity:

(a + b + c)(a – b + c) = (a + c)2 – b2

Here:

  • a = x2
  • b = x
  • c = 1

So, (x2 + 1)2 – (x)2.
