Solution

It is scientifically incorrect to blame the mother for bearing a female child because the determination of the sex of a baby is dependent on the chromosomes carried by the father, not the mother. Human females have two X chromosomes (XX), so all eggs produced by the female carry an X chromosome. In contrast, males have one X and one Y chromosome (XY), so their sperm can carry either an X or a Y chromosome. After fertilization, if a sperm carrying an X chromosome fuses with the egg, the zygote is XX and develops into a female. If a sperm carrying a Y chromosome fertilizes the egg, the zygote is XY and develops into a male. Therefore, it is the father who determines the sex of the child. Hence, blaming the mother for having a female child is both scientifically inaccurate and unfair .
