  1. The emission of photoelectrons occurs instantly. The emission of photoelectrons is instantaneous.
  2. Effect of light intensity on photovoltaic current: Plate C is given an appropriate positive potential. The frequency of incident light is kept constant, but it must be greater than the threshold frequency (v > v0). It has been noticed that as light intensity increases, so does the photoelectric current. This means that the current is directly proportional to the intensity of the incident light.
