Solution

Sex-linked characters are hereditary traits controlled by genes present on the sex chromosomes, mainly the X chromosome. These traits are transmitted from parents to offspring through the sex chromosomes. Since males have only one X chromosome, such traits are more commonly expressed in males. Examples include haemophilia and colour blindness.
