Duke was intelligent, loyal, patient and determined. He understood Chuck’s condition and helped him regain his ability to walk by encouraging him to take small steps. He was also sensitive enough to realise when Chuck was tired and would stop. His love and determination played an important role in Chuck’s recovery.
