  1. The previous Friday morning, the poetess was travelling back to Cochin in order to catch a flight. In the car, her mother was seated beside her.
  2. Her mother started to feel sleepy. Her mouth was hanging open. Her face had the same pale, ash-colored appearance as a dead.
  3. She thought her mother would not live for very long. She was in huge pain.
  4. The figure of speech used is ‘Simile’.
