Solution

‘Changes I would like in the School Education of our State’

Good morning, respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends. I, Miss Monica D'Cruz from Class X. Today, on this memorable farewell occasion, I feel privileged to share my thoughts on the topic "Changes I Would Like in the School Education of Our State."

It is a day filled with mixed emotions. While I am excited to begin a new journey, I also feel sad to leave behind this wonderful school that has shaped my personality. Before I leave, I would like to share a few suggestions that I believe can make our education system even better.

I recently read that many countries are giving more importance to skill-based education than to rote learning. This made me realise that our schools should also focus on practical knowledge. Students should be taught life skills such as financial management, communication, first aid, and digital literacy, which are useful in everyday life.

Secondly, I believe that students in higher classes should have the freedom to choose subjects according to their interests and future goals. This will help them learn with greater enthusiasm and confidence. Finally, examinations should test our understanding, creativity, and application of knowledge rather than our ability to memorise answers.

Education should prepare us not only to score good marks but also to become responsible, skilled, and confident citizens. I hope these positive changes will make learning more meaningful and enjoyable for future generations.

Once again, I sincerely thank my teachers and this institution for their love, guidance, and support. Thank you all, and I wish everyone a bright and successful future!
