Dope test is an official test to identify whether a person is taking alcohol/drugs. I strongly support that the ‘Dope’ test should be compulsorily conducted on sportspersons participating in prestigious athletic meets due to the following reasons.

1. Without the ‘Dope’ test, it is impossible to tell if an athletic performance is genuine or the result of using drugs like anabolic steroids, narcotic painkillers, or diuretics that make muscles stronger and more aggressive.
2. There are concerning adverse consequences on a sportsperson’s body when steroids and other substances are used to improve performance. With continued use, these consequences can become irreversible.
3. Since positive ‘Dope’ test among sportsmen causes humiliation in society, it gives a message to the youngsters not to take these substances.
