Solution 1
The south-west monsoon occurs when the south-east trade winds cross the Equator and are deflected to the right by the Coriolis force, reaching the west coast. These winds cause severe downpours, thunder, and lightning. The unexpected commencement of rainfall in the first week of June is known as the Burst of the Monsoon. The Break of Monsoon occurs when the South-West Monsoon does not bring rainfall for two weeks or longer, resulting in a dry phase during the rainy season.
