Chemical bonding can be formed in the following ways:

2. By sharing of electrons: Two atoms share one or more pairs of valence electrons so that each atom attains a stable electronic configuration. This forms a covalent bond.
3. By donation of an electron pair: One atom provides both electrons of the shared pair, while the other atom accepts the pair. This forms a coordinate (dative covalent) bond.
