Solution

Ruta : Hello sir, Good morning!
Scientist: Good morning, Ruta
Ruta: I am glad that I have got this opportunity to speak to you today so that our students can know more about the world of science.
Scientist: I would love to share my knowledge and experience with you all.
Ruta: Sir, students these days are more aware about scientific knowledge and they are developing scientific attitude due to which they are not superstitious. But there are still people who believe in all this. How can we make them understand?
Scientist: Science gives reasons and proper justification for all superstitious activities. For example, cutting nails during night time in ancient time was not allowed as it was dark and there were possibilities of people getting hurt but superstitious people gave all other reasons. So, science gives proper reasoning to all of these and develops rational and logical thinking in people.
Ruta: Got your point sir! There are lot of updates and advancements in technology and people are misusing it. So, how can we change this, especially in students?
Scientist: Science is a boon as well as a curse for the people. It's in our hands how we want to use it. Science has developed various latest technology which can be utilized in the best way and simplify life. For example, Mobile phones are created for easy connectivity and access to several apps and info for people.
Ruta: Science has shown many great inventions and achievements in the field of medicine also. We would like to know more about it Sir.
Scientist: Yes, you are right that the majority of Science was developed to serve humans with their illnesses and to decrease the death rate due to various diseases. If you see in the field of medicine, science has developed medicines even for diseases that were once not curable like T.B, Cancer, etc. And we are still working further to cure diseases like HIV, etc... which is a concern.
Ruta: That’s really great Sir. Though we know that science is always judged and misinterpreted by several people we still have many people who always think scientifically and then follow it. So, do you think science is for the betterment of humanity?
Scientist: Of course, Science was always invented and developed for the betterment of humans and humanity whether be removing superstitions, curing diseases, or making our nation proud with the latest inventions, etc.
Ruta: I am glad to know this Sir.
Scientist: I think all the students should think rationally and logically to get an appropriate answer to their questions related to science, religion or superstitions.
Ruta: Do you think science by any chance contributes to our economy?
Scientist: Indeed. Science and its invention have always made our nation proud. When the inventions are applied and popular their demand in other countries is also seen which is later imported to them. So, imports of goods contribute to our economy. Also, income from our citizen's spending within the country contributes towards our national income. Hence, it directly or indirectly contributes to our economy.
Ruta: That’s fantastic! Last but not least sir, what message would you like to give to our youths?
Scientist: My only request to all the youths is always know the actual reason behind several beliefs, think logically and use technology at its best. Science is for our betterment so do not misuse it. Understand the importance of science in our life as you all are our future scientists.
Ruta: Thank you very much sir for all the information you have shared with us. It was great talking to you. I am sure this information would be beneficial to all our students.

"Here is a fine piece of turf for the lark," said one of the boys, and began to cut out a square round the daisy, so that it remained in the centre of the grass.

"Pluck the flower off," said the other boy and the daisy trembled for fear, for to be pulled off meant death to it; and it wished so much to live, as it was to go with the square of turf into the poor captive lark's cage.

"No let it stay," said the other boy. "it looks so pretty."

And so it stayed and was brought into the lark's cage. The poor bird was lamenting its lost liberty, and beating its wings against the wires; and the little daisy could not speak or utter a consoling word. much as it would have liked to do so. So the forenoon passed.

"I have no water", said the captive lark," they have all gone out and forgotten to give me anything to drink. My throat is dry and burning. I feel as if I had fire and ice within me and the air is so oppressive. Alas! I must die. and part with the warm sunshine, the fresh green meadows. and all the beauty that God has created."And it thrust its beak into the piece of grass, to refresh itself a little.
