Solution
- Using Mouse Dragging (Sizing Handles):
- Select the Chart: Click anywhere inside the chart background to select it. This will make a border appear around the chart with sizing handles (small dots or squares) on the corners and edges.
- Position the Pointer: Place your mouse cursor over one of the sizing handles. The cursor will change into a two-headed arrow.
- Drag to Resize: Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag the handle outward to enlarge the chart or inward to reduce its size.
- Proportionate Resizing: To keep the original proportions intact without distorting the chart layout, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while dragging any corner handle.
- Using the Ribbon (Exact Dimensions):
- Select the Chart: Click on the chart to activate the Chart Tools menu on the Ribbon.
- Go to the Format Tab: Navigate to the Format tab under Chart Tools.
- Adjust Size Group: Look at the Size group located on the far right side of the Ribbon.
- Enter Value: Type the exact measurements you want into the Shape Height and Shape Width boxes, then press Enter to instantly apply the new dimensions.
