- Select the Chart: Click anywhere on the blank background area or the outer border of the chart to select it. Avoid clicking directly on internal chart elements like the bars, legend, or titles.
- Position the Pointer: Place your mouse cursor over the chart’s outer border. The cursor icon will transform into a four-headed arrow (move pointer).
- Drag to New Position: Click and hold down the left mouse button, then drag the chart across the screen to the new location where you want it to appear on the worksheet.
- Release to Place: Release the mouse button to drop the chart into its new position. Excel will instantly snap the chart layout to that grid area.
