1. Summer Season (March–June):
   • In summer, northern India becomes very hot.

   • Coastal areas like Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata stay cooler (around 30°C) because of the sea breeze.

   • The southern peninsula is generally cooler than the north because it is surrounded by water.
2. Winter Season (December–February):
   • In winter, northern India becomes very cold.
   • The lowest temperatures are in north India (around 5°C to 15°C). For example, places like Amritsar and Delhi can get quite cold.
   • Himalayan regions like Leh and Dras can have temperatures below 0°C.
   • Southern India remains warm (around 20°C to 25°C), with little change in temperature because of the sea.
   • Kanyakumari in the south has the least difference between summer and winter temperatures.
