Solution

  1. Every animal has its own unique habitat.
  2. In ecology, a habitat refers to the natural environment where a particular species of organism lives. Different plants and animals need different conditions for survival. They live in places where they can get food, shelter, and other necessities.
  3. Therefore, a country's wildlife depends on its natural vegetation. Animals that feed on plant-eating animals also live in forests. As a result, many food chains develop in forest regions. Forests and grasslands serve as habitats for a variety of animals. The existence of many animals is mainly because of plants.
  4. For example, in the Gir forests of India, lions as well as herbivorous animals are found. Similarly, turtles, crocodiles, and gharials are seen in rivers, estuaries, and coastal regions. In Brazil, near the Amazon River Basin, tall trees grow in the evergreen forest, and animals like the tamarin live in these trees.

Thus, wildlife and natural vegetation in India and Brazil are closely related.
