Solution
Given:
- AB = 3 cm
- BC = 5 cm
- CD = 4 cm
- AC = 6.8 cm
- BD = 4 cm

Steps of construction:
- Draw the diagonal AC = 6.8 cm.
- With A as center and radius AB = 3 cm, draw an arc.
- With C as center and radius BC = 5 cm, draw another arc intersecting the previous arc. Mark the point of intersection as B.
- With B as center and radius BD = 4 cm, draw an arc.
- With C as center and radius CD = 4 cm, draw another arc intersecting the previous arc. Mark the point of intersection as D.
- Join AB, BC, CD and DA.
The quadrilateral ABCD with sides AB = 3 cm, BC = 5 cm, CD = 4 cm and diagonals AC = 6.8 cm, BD = 4 cm is constructed as required.
