Solution

Given: \(R_1=3\,\Omega\)

\(R_2=6\,\Omega\)

\(R_3=5\,\Omega\)

The 3 Ω and 6 Ω resistors are connected in parallel.

\[ R_p=\frac{3\times6}{3+6}\]

\[=\frac{18}{9}\]

\[=2\,\Omega \]

This combination is connected in series with the 5 Ω resistor.

\[ R=2+5\]

\[=7\,\Omega\]
