We have,
A swimming pool which is 50 m long, 12 m wide and the shallow and deep ends are 1.5 m and 3 m respectively

Area of cross-section ABCD is `1/2 xx (AD + BC) xx DC`
= `1/2 xx 3 + 1.5 xx 50`
= 112.5 m2
Now, volume of the swimming pool = (Area of cross-section ABCD) × (Length)
= 112.5 × 12
= 1350 m3
Therefore, the quantity of water in a swimming pool is 1350 m3
