We have,

Area of cross-section ABCD is `1/2 xx (AD + BC) xx DC`

= `1/2 xx 3 + 1.5 xx 50`

= 112.5 m²

Now, volume of the swimming pool = (Area of cross-section ABCD) × (Length)

= 112.5 × 12

= 1350 m³

Therefore, the quantity of water in a swimming pool is 1350 m³
