Given:

Turns ratio `(N_p/N_s) = 1/2`

Secondary voltage (Vs) = 960 V

Formula:

`V_p/V_s = N_p/N_s`

`V_p/960 = 1/2`

`V_p = 1/2 xx 960`

Vp = 480 V

The primary voltage of the transformer is 480 V.
