Solution

Given:

Current (I) = 2.0 A

Length of wire (L) = 0.10 m

Force applied (F) = 0.04 N

Angle (θ) = 90° (since it is perpendicular)

Formula: F = B × I × L × sin θ

0.04 = B × 2.0 × 0.10 × sin (90°)

0.04 = B × 0.20 × 1

B = `0.04/0.20`

B = 0.2 T

The magnetic field strength is 0.2 T.
