Solution

Resistances of 6 Ω, 3 Ω and 2 Ω are connected in parallel between points A and B.

Let Rp be their equivalent resistance.

Using the formula for resistances in parallel,

\[ \frac{1}{R_p} = \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{2}\]

\[ = \frac{1 + 2 + 3}{6}\]

\[ = 1\]

∴ \[R_p = 1\ \Omega\]

Now, Rp is in series with 1 Ω resistance.

Therefore, the equivalent resistance between A and C (Rs) is:

\[ R_s = 1 + 1 = 2\ \Omega\]
