The image represents external recruitment. An active hiring campaign is directed at candidates outside the organisation. Under external recruitment, the organisation attracts applicants through sources such as advertisements, campus recruitment, employment exchanges, placement agencies, casual callers, gate hiring and labour contractors. This provides a wide choice of candidates, brings in new ideas and skills, and helps fill vacancies that cannot be filled from within. However, it is comparatively expensive and time-consuming.
