Solution
Kabaddi is an indigenous Indian game believed to have originated in the epic age of the Mahabharata. Its name is derived from “Kaunbada,” meaning “to challenge an opponent.” It was known by different names in different regions, such as Hu-Tu-Tu, Ha-Do-Do, Chedugudu and Kaunbada. Maharashtra helped popularise the game nationally; standard rules were formulated in 1918 and printed in 1923.
