Bob, during the course of his conversation with the cop, admitted that he had to compete with some of the sharpest wits going to get his pile (i.e.) wealth. In fact, West did put a razor’s edge on him. He had overcome many obstacles. Thus, it is very clear that life was not a bed of roses for Bob.
