Solution

Sher Shah (Farid Khan), governor of Bihar, defeated Humayun at Chausa and Kanauj (1540), forcing Humayun into exile and seized Delhi, proclaiming the Sur dynasty. He rapidly expanded into Punjab, Sind and Malwa and reorganized administration, revenue and roads, establishing a stable Afghan Sur empire.
