Whether an object is considered to be at rest or in motion depends on the observer’s frame of reference. With respect to the Earth, a chair placed on the ground is at rest because its position remains unchanged relative to the Earth’s surface. However, with respect to the Sun, the same chair is in motion since the Earth continuously rotates on its axis and revolves around the Sun.
