Solution

Length of rectangular piece l = 20m

Breadth of rectangular piece b = 15m

Radius of each quadrant r = 3.5m

Area of rectangular piece = (length × breadth) = 20 × 15 = 300m2.

Area of quadrant each =`1/4`(๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘Ž ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐‘๐‘–๐‘Ÿ๐‘๐‘™๐‘’ ๐‘ค๐‘–๐‘กโ„Ž ๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘‘๐‘–๐‘ข๐‘  3.5๐‘š)

=`1/4×pir^2`

=`1/4×22/7× 3.5 × 3.5 =38.5/4 m^2`

Area of remaining part = [area of rectangular piece] – 4[area of each quadrant]

= 300 – 4` [385/4]` = 300 – 38.5

= 261.5m2
